Villajoyosa is a coastal town in the northern end of the Costa Blanca. It is located in the Alicante province of Spain. Villajoyosa in Valencian is called La Vila Joiosa. Interestingly, the local people call it just La Vila. The strategic location of this town makes it an ideal destination for taking a tour of the entire Costa Blanca. Reaching here is not a problem since Villajoyosa is just 26 km away from the city of Alicante and its airport.According to the tourists’ opinion, It is a picturesque and delightful town with nice sandy beaches. Besides, the pretty colourful fishing houses along the coastline while facing the sea and in the backdrop of the mountains are all that add up to the aesthetics of this town. The town’s festival of Moros i Cristians, celebrated at the end of July, was declared an International Tourist Interest Festival. Currently, this festivity commemorates a boat landing from the Berber pirates that was rejected by the population of the town.
